If there is a previous relationship between
the victim and
the perpetrator
, it could be a femicide.
One of the contexts of femicides is the
intimate and family related one: they occur in the
sphere of
partner relationships, ex-partner and family
between victim and perpetrator.
According to the
Latin American Protocol Model,
some risk factors are: the pregnancy of the victim, the
separation or willingness of the victim to sever
the bond, violence against other women
in the family. They present some characteristic patterns
in the subsequent behavior of the
perpetrator (such as suicide / voluntary
surrender), the commission of the act in front of
the children and / or other relatives, the
use of domestic instruments and
hands for the execution, etc.
According to the Latin American Protocol Model,
“sexual violence” is understood to be any
action aimed at violating
the freedom and sexual or reproductive integrity of
women.
It is expressed in direct or symbolic sexual attacks
both consummated and
tempted.

INDICATORS OF A POSSIBLE
Sexual Violence
In this case, the two previously mentioned contexts
can be included
as well as femicides in contexts of
organized crime.
This last context
refers to those femicides that
emerge within the framework of the use of
women as merchandise, as a product of
revenge between gangs or, as a response
to their deviation in relation to what is
expected of their behavior according to
status of their gender.
Enragement
Cruelty in Violence
It indicates the existence of a
previous path of violence that
may be framed
in one of the
three contexts
mentioned above.
